PegaSys July Update
DISCLAIMER: As of September 2019, Pantheon has been renamed to Hyperledger Besu. In posts prior to September 2019, we refer to the Ethereum client as Pantheon.
Yet another month has flown by! July was full of events and MeetUps for PegaSys team members worldwide. We also launched our PegaSys Partner Program, and closed out the month with the release of Pantheon 1.2 and a webinar to coincide. Read on for all the details, plus what we’ve got on the horizon for the coming months!
Pantheon 1.2 Release & Webinar
Pantheon released V 1.2 on July 31, 2019 with dApp tooling, node and account-level permissioning, EthSigner, a GraphQL Interface, and more. As a part of the release, we hosted a webinar to talk about the advances we’ve made and what’s coming up for our 1.3 release in October.

PegaSys Partner Program
We are excited to announce the launch of our PegaSys Partner Program! This program is meant for startups and enterprises building with Pantheon, providing enablement like special technical content, closer collaboration on roadmap, and updates on Pantheon upgrades.

We recently announced our new Pantheon Essentials Certification in partnership with ConsenSys Academy! This exam is a great way for developers to show their expertise in the next generation of Enterprise Ethereum.

Team Artemis in Toronto
It was a meeting of Ethereum 2.0 implementers earlier this month in Toronto, as they joined forces on the first step towards client interoperability. The result: Prysm and Artemis exchanging HELLO messages across a functional network for the first time. Watch a video recap of the week below:

IEEE Blockchain Conference
Last week, PegaSys Applied Researcher, Roberto Saltini, presented his paper on the Liveness property of IBFT at the 2nd IEEE Blockchain Conference in Atlanta The paper is available to read online here!
Hopper Down Under
Earlier this week, Kaia Myers-Stewart, Madeline Murray, Sally MacFarlane and Sandra Johnson spoke at the Hopper Down Under in Brisbane AUS! The event, put on by Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, celebrated a community of women in tech. We are very proud to have been a part!
Developer Evangelist Felipe Faraggi also cohosted an Ethereum MeetUp earlier this week in Toulouse. Thanks to all who came out to learn more about Ethereum, its blockchain, DLT tech, development & more!
